Optimum Realism Texture Pack 1.19.2 → 1.16

Today, Minecraft's visual design may seem a little outdated to some people, and nostalgic to others, and then there is the third category of players, for whom the looks just simply make the game unplayable. Optimum Realism mostly focuses on the latter. The main difference between other realistic texture packs and Optimum is that with other packs visuals are stunning, but the performance is weak. Optimum does a couple of things to upgrade visuals, higher texture resolution is just one aspect. More details were added to in-game objects like grass, rocks, different types of stones, trees, and plants. A very interesting feature added is the density of leaves. The forests look more alive, and more welcoming. Optimum offers breathtaking textures, sharp edges, incredible details, and beautiful light, while the performance is still stable. No lag, no FPS problems, no tearing, nothing. That is, of course, if you have a very strong PC. The pack can make the game unstable on weak setups, but at least it tries to balance visuals and performance. So the developers recommend a video card like GTX 1080, or newer, and 8 GB of RAM, or more to be able to run smoothly. If you want the best results, use one of the following shaders: Kappa, BSL, or SEUS.

Optimum Realism — Installation

In order for Optimum Realism to function properly, the Optifine Mod must be pre-installed. Without it, some resource pack features like HD textures, random mobs, connected textures, and so on will not work!

  1. Download the texture pack, you should get a .zip file
  2. Open the folder to which you downloaded the file
  3. Copy the .zip file
  4. Open Minecraft
  5. In Minecraft, click on “Options”, then “Resource Packs
  6. Choose “Open resource pack folder
  7. Paste the file into the resourcepacks folder in the Minecraft directory
  8. Go back to Minecraft, the resource pack should now be showing up in the list
Fix: Optimum Realism Resource Pack Not Showing Up
  • Verify that the zip file you downloaded has a valid folder structure.
  • Ensure that the following folders and files are present in the root directory of the downloaded zip file:
    • Example_Pack.zip
      • 📁 assets
      • 📄 pack.mcmeta
      • 🖼️ pack.png
  • If you have only one folder in the root directory of the downloaded .zip file, make sure to copy that folder in the resourcepacks folder inside of the Minecraft directory.
    • Example_Pack.zip
      • 📁 Example_je-1.19.X-0.2
